What is NSRT?
NSRT is a unique method of realigning the body without manipulation. Gentle and controlled pressure on specific points on your body stimulate the nervous system and cause your body to readjust and move into its ideal alignment. NSRT is a technique for treatment of pain, limited movement associated with injury, misalignment and bad posture. The aim is to align joint structures and remove stress from adjoining muscles, ligaments, tendons and cartilage. The whole body is re-aligned during every treatment. NSRT works on the muscular-skeletal and neurological systems (central nervous system). A postural assessment is taken before the treatment and you can keep your clothes on. NSRT is so gentle it is safe for everyone from babies to the elderly, including people with osteoporosis or other degenerative diseases.
Problems commonly treated are:
Whiplash Injuries
Sciatic Pain
Disc Problems
Scoliosis, Kyphosis, Lordosis
Spondyloliesthesis
Ankylosing Spondilitis
Pain and joint problems due to injuries and accident trauma
General Back Pain
Arthritis + Osteoporosis (Pain Management)
Headaches/Migraines
On average 3-6 treatments will be necessary. A chronic problem, in which the soft tissues are stiffened, will respond slowly compared to a recent acute injury. There is no quick cure for a twenty-year old problem, regular treatments will be needed in these cases. But otherwise the treatment has been designed so that continuous ongoing treatments are unnecessary.
Aftercare Advice
As the posture settles into a completely new balance, muscles that have been under stress for a long period of time will start to re-align themselves. Muscles and the skeletal system shift their position. The nervous system may need up to 48 hours to respond, therefore strenuous exercise and any manipulative activity, such as massage etc. should be avoided.
There may be slight soreness of the muscles the day after the treatment and a hot bath in the evening and/or the next day are recommended.
Massage sessions are offered between alignment sessions, if appropriate, to support the alignment process.
For back and joint problems, as well as postural misalignment and accident trauma.
